There will be a final Earth Science quiz, Wednesday May 23rd.  The topics covered will be: plate tectonics, continental drift, Pangea, layers of the earth.  Students will be reviewing in class on Monday and Tuesday using a webquest to search the information on the internet while completing a review packet.

Students are required to complete their Protist Project Publishing Piece by Thursday.  All work besides the final copy was completed in class.  The Publishing Piece is DUE ON THURSDAY.  All late work will receive -5 for each day late.

All 7th Grade Science classes will create a Museum of Life in our classroom over the next month.

The first piece towards our “Museum” will be a Protist informational card.  This will be completed in class however, if it is not complete at the end of class on Tuesday (11/27) it must be completed at home.

There will be a short quiz on Thursday on Process Skills. Students should use their Cornell Notes to study for this quiz, as well as their worksheets in their science folder.

Syllabus needs to be read and signed by both parent and student by Monday, September 10th.

Solutions, Suspensions, atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons, and the periodic table.

We will be reviewing on Monday before the quiz as well.

Celery Investigation Formal Lab Reports are still being accepted.  5 points are deducted for each day late but turning something in late is better than not at all!

Students will use their notes from their observations on the mass of celery, volume of water, drawings and charts to complete the report.

Homework over the weekend given Friday 12/16 was to read an article from the New York Times “A mother’s war on germs at fast food playlands” and answer three questions on the back of the article.
