Each night read 2 chapters- Write 3 statements for each chapter on looseleaf or sticky notes.
Refer to Anticipation Guides for other examples of statements
Your statement should be something the reader can agree or disagree with.
Ex: Accepting something you oppose is difficult.
Writing
-Write a 1 page journal entry responding to what you read in Melanin’s journal or the chapter you read.

2/26 (703) 2/27 (701)- Read IRobot- Introduction and Chapter 1. Write one literal, one inferential and one critical note for each section. (6 notes total) Student’s have the option to write a summary (3-5 sentences) in place of a literal note.
2/28- Complete 4 types of sentences/Topic Sentence Packet and Read Chapter 2 of IRobot-Write one literal, one inferential and one critical note for this chapter.
3/1- Read Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 of IRobot. Write one literal, one inferential and one critical note for each chapter. Be sure to include evidence that supports your inference!
