Message from the Board President

The Board of Directors of New World Prep Charter School have worked tirelessly for many years in planning for this middle school. Within our “Mission Statement” as approved by the Charter School Institute of the State University of New York are three key elements. These fundamentals are high expectations for all students, a focus on understanding the role of “Social Justice” throughout our society and the complete involvement of parents as significant partners in the education of the children they have entrusted to us.

We the board are indeed proud of the work of our entire professional and support staff as they strive to motivate and lead our young learners into a world of academic rigor and lifelong learning. As a board, we pledge to be transparent in our process of developing policies and practices that will ultimately prepare our student body to fully participate at the highest levels in American society as we compete in our global economy.

We the New World Prep family, respectfully solicit the support of all members of our community parents, businesses, foundations and community organizations to join with us as we work to advocate for the strongest educational opportunities for every student we serve. May we all work together to fulfill the words of the poet to “light the light beside the Golden Door.”

Board Meetings

New World Preparatory Charter School’s Board of Trustees meet the fourth Monday of every month, with the exception of July and August, at 5:30 P.M. in room one of our campus’s main building. Our board meetings are open to the public and we encourage parents and members of the community to attend. Meeting dates are posted in the school’s main office and in the Staten Island Advance. Dates are subject to change during the course of the year.

All meetings are held at New World Preparatory Charter School and begin at 5:30pm.
